Inspiration
Foundation was initiated by the renowned danseuse
Alokananda Roy in the year 2002. Her love for children,
especially the underprivileged ones made her realize the
immense hidden talents among these little ones. She then
and there decided and took a big step towards unleashing
the creative aspect of these underprivileged children.
And thus Inspiration Foundation was
born.
Our Goal
Our
goal is not only to enrich the lives of these
underprivileged children but try and provide livelihood
through performing arts – aiming at an overall
development of the child and teaching them to live with
dignity, confidence and self
respect.
Way
of Work
 | We organize an annual talent hunt for the
underprivileged children |
| Provide free training and workshops on
dance, music (vocal & instrumental), drama and
art |
| Provide them with scholarships for long
term artistic development |
| Provide
them with self employment |
| We
aim to form a forum to support ailing and old artists |
Achievements
| Five children selected from the
Calcutta School
Project were sent to Japan for a Cultural Exchange Program
in the year 2002. |
| Another four children were sent in the
year 2003 to places like Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kobe, Kyato and
Osaka for a students visit program at various
school. |
| Provide free education to one of the girls at St. Jon's
Diocesan Girls Higher Secondary school, another at the
Loreto, Sealdah and three Children in Emmanuel Ministers. |
| One
of our girls Sathi Guha has been given a chance to work in a
tele serial and also work as a dance trainer in an
organisation for the mentally challenged and handicapped
children. |
| Amar
khaled was placed as a guitarist in one of the local
bands. |
