Year 2010 – Present
Dance productions like Kamaley Kamini, Gaahi Shamyero Gaan, Mokshagati, Chitrangada (solo performance), and Dhrubajyoti Tumi Jishu evolved in the first half of this decade. Of these, Mokshagati set a new milestone in multi-medium stage presentation. Mokshagati creates a harmonious synthesis of film and stage techniques to narrate a single story in absolution. The movie directed by Ms Roy narrates the emotional content of the story in flash back while the performance on stage provide the life force to the show, with the live, in the moment feel of dance theatre.
In 2012 she performed in the celebration of Tagore’s 150th birth anniversary.
As much as her Dance Therapy touch the lives of the inmates in the State Correctional Homes. So did she initiate her Therapy into the project Udaan, a Tata Consultancy Service- CSR module to re-orient and rehabilitate Kashmiri youth, through appreciation and exchange of cultures.
In 2013 she trained a batch of trainee constables, Kolkata Police, at Pollice Training School in dance for the dance production -Evolution of Our Protectors, depicting the evolution of the Kolkata Police from the Colonial time to the present day. Underlining the fact that Police protects as much as it punishes.
In the same year she also trained the Border Security Force Jawans in dance on an invitation by Mr B.D. Sharma, the then Special DG of BSF. With the collaboration of the Border Guard Bangladesh, presented a path breaking initiative to harmonise life across Political and geographical borders. Mohona, a confluence of two countries and culture was history created , at the India Bangladesh borders – Petrapole on the 6th of November 2013. Subsequently the BSF Jawans performed Gahi Shamyero Gaan of Kazi Nazrul Islam in Delhi and Kolkata.
